Creative Work Can Pay Off Big Time!

30 March 2007 No Comment

Whether you’re a musician, a designer, a writer (or any other type of “creative worker”)… your hard work can pay off! Big time! I know many people who are still recieving checks for creative work they did many many years back! For sure creating something and focussing on it probably won’t pay off right away, and can be kinda time consuming, but if you can manage to do it anyway (start part-time, and when you make more money with that than working for a boss, just quit your job!), you can probably expect to see checks coming in eventually!

That’s one of the ways musicians make money! (I for sure know about that, since i’m a musician myself!) You compose, record, rehearse, spend a lot of time on your music, and then launch your album, and if it works you will start getting checks in the mail! Of course it’s not like that all the time, most creations will never see the day, but if you can put enough efforts and energy into your creative work it will definatly pay off one day or the other!

Same goes with blogging, or other types of websites, or basically any “artsy” type of things! You start a blog, wanting to provide information on the topics you know about, help others, and maybe make some money along the way.

But be prepared, you won’t make a dime for the first months that’s for sure (some never make any money at all!), unless you know ways others don’t know about.

Any type of creative work that needs you to focus on and put loads of efforts in/on will inevitably pay off! What it comes down to is: how many sacrifices (spending time working on that thing instead of doing something else) and how much efforts are you willing to put on the table to make it work?

So what about you? What do you think? Can creative work make you real money, or you see it more as a fun thing to do or a hobby?
