Most visitors that comes to you site or blog probably won’t check out your archives.. ok some do, and it’s great, but most people will look at the first page and scan through it to find something that interests them! And if they don’t find, they’ll leave!

But you probably want to have people look at some older posts! Your older posts are certainly interesting and can be useful to people! So when you write a new post, why not think of your older ones? If you can, simply link to it in your new post, find an older post that is relevant to the one you’re writing now, and link to it with relevant anchor text!

For example, if i was to write a post about blog earnings and revenues, i would definatly link to an older post of mine called “making money with your blog?“. (relevant post and relevant anchor text) And you can also setup a “top posts” page, which makes it easier for your visitors and readers to find the most popular and most commented posts on your blog!

Remember, a lot of people are reading your site using feed/news readers, so you might want to point them to older posts (relevant posts that is!)

By the way search engines loves deep linking!
