The Fine Art Of Writing A Successful Ebook

Hey, seems you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Some of you may already know I love to read and learn new things, and although I really love to read “real” books, I also enjoy ebooks, and lately 2 bloggers writers/authors/entrepreneurs I know and respect very much, published their own ebooks, and I thought it would be a good idea to talk a little about those ebooks, and share my thoughts, and also ask you guyz and galz what you think of them, if you read them, and if you haven’t yet, well lemme ask you why? :)

How To “Look” Like A Pro Blogger Even If You’re Not One (Yet!)

Being recognized as an expert in a particular field and positioning yourself as a leader can be done more easily in the blogging world than in the offline world i think (i’d like to put the emphasis on the word “can“, since it “can” be real hard too), but there are things you definitely want to avoid.

How can you “look” like you’re a profesionnal blogger even if you’re not? Actually it’s quite simple, but there are things to keep in mind if you don’t want to look or sound like you’re new to blogging, and want to look pro right from the start. Don’t get me wrong, there’s absolutely nothing wrong in being new at something, everybody has to go through the same stuff, learning curve and all, and at some point every blogger writer/author will face similar problems. Millionaire Mind Intensive Seminar Recap And Contest

This past week-end i was at the Millionaire Mind Intensive Seminar, and now is the time for me to write a recap/review of it. And honestly, this is not an easy post to write. You’ll understand why in a minute.

Millionaire Mind Book Contest

Let’s start by annoucing the winner of the “Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind Book” contest, it ended this past Monday, on the 20th, and like i said in my Millionaire Mind Contest post, i would do a little video, and draw the winner. :) So here it is! [Read more →]

The Definitive Guide To “Definitive Guides” - Work In Progress

How often do you read “definitive guide to” or “ultimate guide to” [insert topic here] kinda posts? These kind of posts or articles are extremely popular and are a great way to get exposure and recognition. We’ll go into more details in a second, read on. ;)

First, let’s try to find out why people like definitive guides so much.

Definitive or Ultimate guides are extremely popular for simple reasons. People are often not sure or don’t have a lot of knowledge on a certain topic and want more tips and tricks or a step-by-step method to achieve this or that, and a definitive guide provides just that. [Read more →]

Do You Have A Millionaire Mind?

You know i like contests, and you probably know i like to get involved in charity events and stuff, and help others. One good way to help other people is by sharing knowledge (and always keep learning about new things) and inviting people to participate and get involved, so it’s kind of a win-win situation both for the giver and the reciever.

So here it is!

I wrote about the Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind Book and Seminar before, and like i mentionned in my previous post, i will be giving a copy of The Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind Book (no costs, free shipping). And i thought it would be interesting to do some sort of contest and invite people to participate. No special skills or anything required. Just some creativity and a couple minutes of your time! :)

How does it works?

Simply leave a comment on here or write a post on your blog or do a video, and tell us the reasons why you would like to be a millionaire. It’s really that simple!

Stop Wasting Money - The Perry Marshall Way

I’m a big fan of Perry Marshall, the well-known Google Adwords guru. I ordered his Guerilla Marketing for Hi-Tech Sales People promo book a couple weeks ago and finally recieved it. It was really worth the wait! Of course it’s promotional stuff i recieved, but still i learned just from reading the promo book! Perry is giving away so much free infos (yes this was shipped to me, free of charge!)

There’s this one quote i found in Perrys’ Guerilla Marketing promo book that says: […] no matter how motivated you are, the laziest guy in the world can still move more dirt with a borrowed bulldozer than you can with a shovel […]

Honest Advertising - Sincere Offers

Have you ever entered your e-mail in a mailing list or some subscription form? I did, but sometimes i kinda regret it! I’m recieving around 25 junk e-mails every hour. No, not every day! Every single hour! That’s 600+ unnecessary e-mails per day! (thanx to the junk mail filter in Mail/OSX that takes care of that!)

I often join a mailing list or subscribe to something because they offer something for free. (We all like free stuff, don’t we?). But why is it that most often then not, we get those “join my mailing list and i’ll send you my free product and blah, blah, blah!” And then check the e-mail and click a link that leads to a sales page, only to find out at the bottom of the page, that the thing is actually $49.95?? Wasn’t supposed to be free?

Where’s the “unsubscribe” button now?

More Than 1300 Future Millionaires Tried To Get In!

Tonight i was supposed to attend the Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind Evening Seminar with Robert Riopel as the speaker for the evening. But I couldn’t get in! I had my ticket with me (it was a free evening), had registered on their website, but there was room for only about 800 persons, and we were 1300+ waiting outside the conference room doors. So of course almost 500 of us had to go home. And i was one of the 500! Which is sad because i really wanted to attend this seminar and, of course, write about it on smartwealthyrich!

But you know what? I’m so happy i couldn’t get in!

Here’s why:

The folks at Peak Potentials Training were expecting 800 persons, but 1300+ showed up with tickets in hand! So, of course, to show their gratitude, appologize, and make sure not to make anyone unsatisfied or angry, they decided to give us all access to the whole week-end seminar in May in Montreal (valued at $1295)! For Free! How cool is that?

Your Marketing Expenses Are Higher Than Your Revenues?

Google Adwords PCWell of course, if that’s the case, it’s not good! You probably would like the opposite (unless you enjoy giving money to google, yahoo and other companies.. i don’t!)… so you want more revenues and less marketing expenses!

How can you cut down on your marketing and advertising expenses then?

Well here are some tips that you may find useful! Those, of course, won’t garantee you results, ’cause what works for one may not work for the other, but it may still be useful! Also feel free to share what you know and what you do to cut down your marketing expenses, and give more advices on that subject. I think many people could benefit from that!

Ok, let’s concentrate on PPC advertising, which is one of the many ways i make money, promoting products and services, as an affiliate.

Legit Or Scam?

To follow up on my last post about informational products, i’m wondering something… we see a lot of ads and sponsored links on the net, a lot of sales pages, and we all recieve a lot of junk mail (and even spam comments on blogs, which are deleted automatically most of the times, thanx to spam prevention plug-ins)…

Of all those sites and ads, there is certainly some scammers and not-so-legit sites out there (i found many)… Of course most of them are legit and there’s real people making honest money there! But how to avoid getting ripped-off?

I have my little habits when it comes to buying stuff online, here’s what i do, and what i look for:

  • Contact button or link - if i look for it for more than 5 minutes and see there’s none, i don’t buy.
  • Simple search on Google (something like “product name+scam”), and i’ll go read some forums and blogs and take what is said there into account, and decide if i wanna buy it or not.
  • Ask friends and fellow bloggers/partners what they think - a second opinion is always good!
  • If i’m not sure.. i’ll send an e-mail to the owner of the site or sales page and ask some questions, depending on the answers (if any) i’ll buy or not.
  • Secure encryption - you know this little lock that appears somewhere on the page (depending on your browser) either at the bottom or at the top in the status bar (often it’s a lock.. you know something that says “128 bits encryption” or “secure server”), make sure it’s there!
  • Methods of payment - Sure paypal is cool, but if it’s the only payment method available, i’ll think twice before buying.
  • And last but not least - i’ll rarely buy something after clicking a link in an e-mail! Re-enter the url of the site in your browser (you probably recieved that kind of e-mail before.. you click on the link, and your browser opens up, and there’s an ip adress in the adress bar instead or a real url.. well that’s a big no-no!)
  • How do you approach this? Do you look or search for those details? Or do you simply buy, and hope you’ll get the product you just purchased? Simple care can save you a lot of money!
