BloggersUnite Against Abuse - September 27th

BloggersUnite Against AbuseSome time ago Tony at BlogCatalog announced a new “blogging challenge“, blogging against abuse, any kind of abuse. This will take place on September 27th. You can read about it on the official BlogCatalog Blog and on the Discussion Board.

The goal is to get as many bloggers as possible to post about “abuse” on the same day, and if some feel charitable, give some money to organizations (you choose which ones). Simply a nice way to “give back“. Anyone can enter this challenge, just have to post about it on September 27th, if you’re a member of BlogCatalog, check out the discussion board. [Read more →]

Don’t Buy Me A Beer, Use That Money For Something Else instead

Have you heard about that plugin called “Buy Me A Beer“? It’s simply a nicer and cooler way of asking your readers to donate, instead of having a “donate” paypal button, which looks rather ugly anyway, the buy me a beer plugin does the same thing and it’s linked to your paypal e-mail adress which you can modify in the wordpress admin, so people can send you money. Or donations if you prefer, to thank you for writing those incredibly insightful and thought provoking posts! :)

Well, I do drink beer sometimes but I can afford to buy my own, so instead of buying me a beer, why not take that money and lend it to an entrepreneur in the developing world? How does that sound? [Read more →]

Wasting Time - Money Is The Greatest Of All Distractions!

Putting The Pieces Back Together - PuzzleI like it a lot when I make a mistake and learn from it. You know, when you finally “get it” and start moving forward? That I like even more! Everything falls into place, energy flows, you feel more creative, and get more things done, in less time. It’s like a puzzle, sometimes you have to try and make mistakes in order to get it right the next time.

Money - My Greatest Distraction?

One mistake I made in the past, was to worry too much and too often about money. Especially when I quit my day job, almost 3 years ago, and started working on my own business(es). All the time spent worrying about money, was time not well spent. Time I could’ve used to do something else, something more constructive, more productive. To me, money was a distraction!

A HUGE Shout-Out To BlogCatalog Members Who Blogged About The DonorsChoose Fundraising Event

DonorsChooseLast week, the folks over at BlogCatalog had an idea, helping kids in schools! And they asked the bblogcatalog members to blog about the DonorsChoose Fundraising Event, many did! This posts is for them! Thanx a lot to all of you for taking the challenge and blogging about the fundraising event and help kids! It really was a fun experiment!

The goal was to raise $25,000.00, but even though a lot of people blogged about this, the total donation amount recieved after 1 week, was $1,140.00, which is not bad at all! Check out the DonorsChooose page. The benefits of this challenge for DonorsChoose was a HUGE traffic spike, and they will definitely benefit from the exposure even 6 months or maybe a year from now, even if we did not meet the $25K. I’m really proud and happy to have been a part of this challenge, and a huge thanx to Tony Berkman from BlogCatalog for his help and efforts in putting this all together, and also for getting this on PRWeb!! :)

So my way of thanking the people that joined in and blogged about this, is by sharing a little link love! Please take some time to visit their blogs, I know this is a long list, but many of those bloggers showed real creativity and invested a lot of time in this fundraising event! Big Thanx to all of them! [Read more →]

DonorsChoose.org - BlogCatalog Raises The Bar With “Bloggers Making History”

Talk about a nice idea! The folks over at BlogCatalog got this idea of holding a fund-raising/charity bloggy event, DonorsChoose, a non-profit organization that specializes in charity and fund raising for students and schools is the organization that will manage the donations.

DonorsChoose is a simple way to provide students in need with resources that our public schools often lack. - DonorsChoose.org

So far, at the time of writing this, already $175.00 has been donated. But Tony from BlogCatalog wants to raise the bar a little… the goal is $25,000.00USD!! Please take some time to read this post on the BlogCatalog Discussion Forum, and if you feel this is a worthy cause, hit that “donate” button, and feel the power of giving back! :) [Read more →]

Millionaire Mind Intensive Seminar Recap And Contest

This past week-end i was at the Millionaire Mind Intensive Seminar, and now is the time for me to write a recap/review of it. And honestly, this is not an easy post to write. You’ll understand why in a minute.

Millionaire Mind Book Contest

Let’s start by annoucing the winner of the “Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind Book” contest, it ended this past Monday, on the 20th, and like i said in my Millionaire Mind Contest post, i would do a little video, and draw the winner. :) So here it is! [Read more →]

Millionaire Mind Intensive Seminar

Just a quick note to let you know i’m at the “Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind” seminar this week-end (May seems to be the month of conferences and seminars), but i’ll write posts anyway, since i come back home after the days at the seminar (and my internet is working fine, as opposed to last week-end at the Crowne Plaza hehe).

I will, of course, write a wrap-up/review post of the seminar, probably on Monday or Tuesday. So far (after 1 day) i have to say it’s great, got to meet a lot of really nice people, entrepreneurs, business people, marketers, network marketers, and also 2 bloggers (or should i say writers?), unfortunately, neither I or them had business cards (note to self: have business cards printed asap), and i must have made a mistake when writing down their URL (hopefully they will visit my blog) cause it doesn’t work. Choices Are Made Long Before You Decide - Productivity Tips

Every single day we have to make choices, and sometimes those decisions are not easy to make. And more often then not, the decisions we make in regards to our personal life will, in some way, rule our profesionnal life and relationships. Not that it’s a bad thing, not at all. But what decisions can we take on a personal level that can lead to a better profesionnal life?

I read a post over at antbag.com titled work-life balance, and Anthonys’ post got me thinking about how is it possible to achieve balance between work and our personal life and also increase our productivity. It’s all a result of the choices we make, i guess. The decisions we make, on a personal level, in our daily life or routine dictates, in some ways, how our profesionnal life will be like.

Remember, choices we make are usually made long before we decide. It’s “embeded” in our brains. Just like someone whos on a diet, and really wanna loose weight… offer this person a piece of cake or some sugar-ish stuff, and he/she will most likely say “no thanx“. Why? cause that person decided to loose weight long before you offered him/her that chocolate cake, or apple pie. So he/she didn’t have to choose, the choice was already made long ago.

Perception Of Others - You vs The World

How do you see yourself? What about the perception others have of you?

John defined me as the “Reservoir Of Positivity“, and Shane said i’m “The Philisopher“, and this personal dna test says i’m an “Advocating Inventor“. While i’m real fine with those titles, it got me wondering about how the perception of your own self, the way you see yourself affects what others might think of you? Are others seeing you just like you see yourself?

Do you think you are a successful entrepreneur, a positive thinker, a passionate lover? But, you’re broke, always thinking negative thoughts and your lover complains about your lack of.. ok you get the idea! hehe

Do You Have A Millionaire Mind?

You know i like contests, and you probably know i like to get involved in charity events and stuff, and help others. One good way to help other people is by sharing knowledge (and always keep learning about new things) and inviting people to participate and get involved, so it’s kind of a win-win situation both for the giver and the reciever.

So here it is!

I wrote about the Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind Book and Seminar before, and like i mentionned in my previous post, i will be giving a copy of The Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind Book (no costs, free shipping). And i thought it would be interesting to do some sort of contest and invite people to participate. No special skills or anything required. Just some creativity and a couple minutes of your time! :)

How does it works?

Simply leave a comment on here or write a post on your blog or do a video, and tell us the reasons why you would like to be a millionaire. It’s really that simple!
