So what’s in for you?
I will choose a header from all the submissions i recieve, and write a post about the contest, listing every person (and link to their blog) that participated/contributed (links links links!) And the winner will have a special spot on my site at the top of the sidebar for 1 month! I don’t know how much that is worth, but it’s always a good thing to have more links back to your site!
So, please feel free to link to this post to let people know about the contest (contact me to let me know you linked to it), upload your creation/header art to your own server, and send me the link to the file using my contact form.

Hey Calvin, of course you are eligible! I’ll pick one header art from the submissions i’ll recieve, write a new blog post to thank all the people that participated and link to them!
And the winner will be featured at the top of my sidebar (by the way the new design will be a single sidebar on the right) for 1 full month, the winner can of course design his/her own button, and i can link using that button and a text link with the anchor text that the winner will have chosen!
When is the submission deadline??
Hi Gregg, i recieved 2 header art so far, and i’ll run this contest probably for 2 weeks, depending on how many submissions i recieve.
I’ll just watch this one; I only tolerate doing graphic design out of necessity.:)

I know you’re planning on redesigning the whole site. Are you keeping a similar color scheme?

Anthony, i’ll keep the color scheme similar, like green and white, but the exterior page background will be dark grey, to focus more on the content and ‘center’ it. But basically the same color scheme, but no need to design a header using the same colors, feel free to design it just like you would if it was your own site! :)
I am no good at graphics, but I got a banner designed from a friend, it looked really nice. Unfortunately, I had to remove it due to increased “blog loading time”. So, please see to it that you dont face the same problem.
Hi Basketer! Thanx a lot for pointing that out, i’ll go edit my post right away and add: Header file should be not more than 30-38kb! So far people that sent me files have kept the size under 30kb (usually 24kb or 28kb) so it’s good! :)
Keep them coming! The contest is still running for about 3 weeks, or until a get enough submissions!
I will send you one tomorrow. I am really working on networking with people so I can meet others in the online community. I am really looking to make some online friends.

Well as for hints on what i would like as a header, i like the color green (as you can notice on the current design), i’d prefer to tell you to design something just like you would if smartwealthyrich was your own site, what would you like the new header to look like? So far, from the header art designs i recieved, some are simple and efffective, just text, some have colorful graphics with or without text, pictures, others are more abstract but still preserving the “theme” of the blog. It’s up to you! I’d really like to see what you would come up with :)

Yea, no problem about linking to your header contest. Hopefully I win :D. I will also be playing around with the zenlike theme for wordpress this weekend, and try to get it where I like it with the colors and everything. If I run into any trouble expect an email :p
