There are 2 versions to the Simply Valid theme, a light, white background version, and a darker one. Both CSS valid.

Of course the Simply Valid theme is widget ready. Also, I will post a list of the plugins I’ve tested and I know works with Simply Valid. (soon)

Instructions

1. Download the theme
2. Unzip it
3. Upload it to your theme folder (wp-content/themes)
4. Login to your WordPress admin
5. Go to the presentation tab
6. Enable Simply Valid
7. Voila!

Style-Sheets

Both the ligh and dark version comes with 2 style-sheets (again all valid), you’ll find a style.css file and also a style_left.css file. The style.css has the sidebar on the right, and the style_left.css puts the sidebar on the left. Simply copy-paste the content of the style_left.css to the style.css and voila your sidebar is now on the left. Make sure you back-up the default style.css, in case you want to go back and have the sidebar on the right again. (worst case, you can always download the theme again)

No Sidebar File

I also included a “no sidebar” template. What that means is when you create a new page (a forum or whatever) in WordPress, and wanna get rid of the sidebar for that page only, you simply select “no sidebar” in the “create new page” page in WordPress (under “page template” in the right-hand drop-down menu). You can see that in action on the “no sidebar” page I created.
