How Can You Keep Up…

rss news post button

There is so many great blogs out there! How can you manage to read all the ones you find interesting? If you have your own blog or website, you probably spend a considerable amount of time writing, tweaking, and finding out new ideas and topics for your own blog! So how much time is there left to go and read other blogs?

Blogs are often visited, read, and commented by other bloggers! But what if you don’t have a blog, but find a lot of them interesting and worth checking out again or reading more often?

Well, here’s a little something! Subscribe to their RSS Feed using a rss feed reader (like netvibes)! You will have all their new posts on the same page, and you can have an unlimited amount of blogs on there (well as far as i know.. but i guess you can add a lot of blogs to your list before something goes wrong! hehe), you can read posts on there, and visit the actual blog if you’d like! It’s easy, fast and free!

I wrote a post about time management recently and i guess this post would fit in the same category! By subscribing to a RSS Feed, you can save yourself a lot of time! If you’re simply stopping by, reading, surfing, or you’re an experienced blogger!

If you would like to grab my rss feed, i’m running it through feedburner (clicking this link will open my rss feed in a new window), you can add this feed to your feed/news reader, or use feedburner “feed by e-mail” type of service and recieve updates in your e-mail! (no spam of course)

I’m writing this post because i recieved a couple of e-mails from loyal readers (not bloggers) who were wondering if they could subscribe to my mailing-list, and since i don’t have one, i thought this would be helpful! So they can stay up to date with my postings! :)

Take care!

  1. Jon,
RSS(really simple syndication) displays blogs in a standard format on a single reader(e.g. Feedburner), and allows one to read several blogs without having to visit each individual site.

Just a quick fact…about 2/3 of sites are read via RSS feeds! This means you won’t even know the readers are reading your content…this places more importance on deep links that draw readers back to your original blog.

Keep up the good posts Jon.
