How Do You Feel Towards Money?

I just read a post on Internet Marketing Tell All by Tatman (i really enjoy reading that blog). And it happens that this blog post is actually about something i wanted to talk about so…! :)
Tatmans’ post it titled How You Feel About Money Affects How Much You Have! Couldn’t be a better title, it hooked my right there!
When i finished reading Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Eker (aff) a while ago i said to myself: “Ok, now buddy, think like a rich guy! Think wealthy! Help yourself! Stop complaining!” And that’s what i did! I’m not saying i’m a milionaire now just by doing that, i’m not!! But your thoughts affects your decisions and your actions.. so why not start by having positive thoughts, which will then lead to actions.. actions that can and probably will help you reach your goals, and gradually change the way you “see” money!
If you hate rich people, you can’t possibly become richer! Why would you want to become something you hate anyway? Before, some years ago, i would see a guy driving a Dodge Viper, and would say to myself “i can’t get a car like that.. don’t have the money.. he’s rich, i’m not”.. now i kinda changed that! I don’t see it the same way, i see no point in having negative thoughts towards money! Now i’m more like “woah, nice car! I want one like that one day!”.
If you see money as a bad thing, you will most likely not get much of it! (by the way, that is my own opinion based on my experiences! And everyone has different experiences! So please take the time to write your comments, experiences and share what you know and your views!)
Being rich is one thing.. but say you could use just “more than what you have right now”, why couldn’t you get more then? Positive thinking!
I would be really interested in knowing what are peoples’ attitude towards money, what restricts you, what are the obstacles your encounter, what do you think of rich people and the likes! Let’s call this a “wealth study“! If enough people participate i will (try to) analyze that and post results on a page in my top menu. So come on, share your thoughts, views and experiences! Thanx!

Great point that your attitude towards the wealthy is important. Realizing that wealth is an enabler…and that is all. It allows us. Those who have lots of it can enable and help lots of people.
Totally! being more wealthy (either more money or more “stuff”), to me, also means the ability to help others, like: charity, family, friends or worthwhile causes.
Good post mate. I like your reply to Bryan’s comment, be of help to someone in need. Helping those in need gives more value and purpose to my life. The best way to hold on to what you have is giving away some of it to those in need.

Good post, Jonathan. I had the same attitude a decade or so ago like what you just described in your post. Fortunately I found so many good books such as the works of Napoleon Hill that totally changed my mind. I have read the Secret of Millionaires mind. At least I sincerely believe that with more money, we may touch more people in need’s life. Don’t you agree?

I totally agree! money can help the ones in need! And can also help you… being more wealthy yourself, in a way, means less worries and less time spent trying to “find” money, and makes it possible to focus on helping others.
It’s nice to know what people think about that subject, so many people “see” money differently, which is fine, and it’s always a good learning experience to try to see money the way someone else sees it!
