More Features = More Benefits - Your Input Would Be Greatly Appreciated!

Directory
Actually i’m thinking about adding 3 sections/services on here, first one being a directory, because my sidebar is getting a little messy, and i think it would be more beneficial for the people i link to, to have their blogs listed in a “directory” section, and in the posts i write (if you have a blog post that’s relevant to what i’m writing about, i will be happy to link to it, provided i know about it), so that means i would link to more blogs in my posts (nothing spammy, don’t worry) and i would be able to feature more sites in the directory section.
Blog Jobs
Second thing i’m thinking of adding is a blog jobs board, since a lot of bloggers are looking for ways to monetize their websites/blogs, or simply monetize the time they spend on the net, listing blog jobs in a “dedicated” section of SmartWealthyRich could help you guyz/galz find some work, like guest blogging, ghost writing, freelance writing, design jobs, consultation stuff and others. What would you think of that? Is this something you would be interested in? Would you check it out from time to time? Never know, you could find a blogging job on there! (of course, to post job openings on the blog jobs board, it would be free for now).
Forum
I’m also thinking of adding a forum, i’m not sure about this one, but i’ve seen a couple blogs that also has a forum, and it would be a great way to communicate more and entice participation and interaction. Of course that doesn’t mean i would slow down on my postings (definitely not!)! Simply put, it could be a nice “feature” that could be used by my readers and visitors so everyone could chat, share, learn and make this more interactive.
I would really really like to hear (read) what you have to say about those ideas, please share your thoughts, i will take every single comment/reply into account before adding features/services/sections on SWR. I wanna make this blog more interactive, more user friendly, because in the end it’s you guyz and galz that are reading my posts and commenting and replying on them. (thank you very very much by the way!)

I like it that you are considering adding more features to your blog - and that they are relevant to your content!
I would only introduce a forum if you have decent traffic levels and are willing to put the extra time and effort it would demand in order to succeed!
I think those are some good ideas. As for the forum, I think that’s one of those things you would just have to try. If it was successful, then you would have a big job trying to moderate it.
Hmmm, I heard a forum was a real nightmare to manage, especially when it comes to spam… I thought about starting one to attach to [GAS] a while ago, but with my tight schedule, I quickly dropped the idea.
The blog job section would be nice.. Just add a wordpress “page” , stick it in your header, and accept submissions from your readers.. I know I would use it…. I’m always looking for guest bloggers :)

Moderating a forum i don’t mind, people would just have to register to post and comment, but i’ll have to think long before i add that. If peeople are showing interest, i’ll probably add a forum.
As for the blog jobs board, if people are actually gonna use it (Thanx Kiltak) i’ll definitely put it up, and i’ll try to find people/blogggers/businesses to post their offers on there, which would be free for a couple weeks/months.
What do you think of having a directory on here? It would clear my sidebar a little and all the links would be in categories, easier to find.

I think all are cool, having a directory would reduce the space for sure but do people have time to look up directories, you can give it a try anyway mate. Forum would increase feedback. Go for it all, you will never know the outcome till you have tried it.

Yeah the reason i’m thinking of putting pu a directory is because i’d like to make some space on my sidebar and categorize the links, cause i noticed not a lot of people click links in the “worth checking out” section of my sidebar, so having a directory with categories could help :)

I like the directory idea. I don’t normally check out blogrolls and I don’t have one on my site, but I’ve been thinking about adding a dedicated “roll page”.
And like the idea of categorizing the links. I’ve been thinking that if I get around to this at some point I might add a short description for each of sites too.
The forum’s a big job. I usually go to forums only when I’m looking to solve a problem. They’re great for that …
and my LONG term plan for Zoomstart includes a unique idea for a very specialized forum, (but shh … don’t tell anyone. It’s top secret!)

Yeah i think a directory will be nice to have on here, and i’ll keep linking to relevant posts and blogs directly from the posts i write, which gts more traffic anyway
