How Can We Create Synergy Between Generations: Dave always comes up with interesting and thought provoking ideas, and this post really inspired me and made me think. How can we create synergy between generations and help make this world a better place and contribute to each others lives? How would you answer Dave’s post?

Charlie Brown Branding and Memorability: Daniel asks a really good question, are you memorable? What makes you or your business unique? It’s not just about adding value, it’s about creating an identity and discovering your own voice. Just like with blogging, you want people to stick!

Color Advices to Improve Your Blog’s Look: Robinson writes about readability and the importance of choosing the right color scheme for your blog. One excellent advice is to make your posts printer-friendly, since many people do print those awesome blog posts of yours, help them save on ink. ;) (check out the wp-print plugin also)

Do You Charge What You’re Worth?: Many people will charge too much for their services, but a lot of people are definitely not charging enough and are working way too much. How do you decide what you are worth?

Design and Advertising Influences Every Part of Our Lives: Everyday we are bombarded by advertisement, either online, at the mall, at work, on your way to work, in the bus, everywhere! And most of our choices are based on design (why did I buy this flat screen and not that other one? Both were the exact same price.) Tara asks a really good question: How much do you think design and advertising influences our lives?

Hope you like those posts as much as I did! ;)

  1. thanks jonathan!

  2. Welcome Robinson! ;)

(PS, I sent you an e-mail)

  3. Communication between generations is so important.

I’ve learned so much from older mentors. Those guys know how to cut to the chase and really get things done.

At the same time, new ideas have to happen.

I don’t know if there’s an easy answer to create the communication link between generations, but those that realize the value of it always do better in whatever they’re doing.

    Utilize every asset!

  4. Shane, the conversation over at Dave’s blog got me thinking a lot. (and I wrote a mile long reply on there hehe)

I think you’re right on, combining the experience of boomers and the dynamism of GenY’er can lead to great things, and seems it will lead to great things, that conversation alone made the 2 generations get together ;)

  5. Thanks for the mention. I will check out your other recommended posts too.

  6. Hi Tara, you’re welcome!

  7. I find that more people charge less than they’re worth than more. And those that charge more are often quite unapologetic about it.

Why do you think we’re so apt to charge less than what we feel we’re worth?

  8. Dawud, well i think it depends, if you’re charging slightly less it’s ok, but if you’re charging 5 bucks an hour you’re being underpaid that’s for sure.

I think it all depends on the involvment and time needed to do a job or work on something. If you earn a full-time income charging half of what others are charging and it’s fine, and you have enough time, and enjoy it, it’s cool. But if you’re charging $10 an hour, and have a hard time making ends meet, you’re not charging enough. my 2 cents

  9. I think you should charge way more for product. There’s always someone out there who will pay for your product as long as your rpoduct is worth buying.

  10. I think you bring a good point there, there is always someone to buy something even if it is expensive, if the quality of the product or services offered are above average, I think it’s real fine to charge more.
