The Complete Metaphor Project Listing And Winners: Liz started the Metaphor Project some time ago and recieved quite a good response. People wrote about their blogging metaphors, how they explain blogging to someone who has no idea what it is.
7 Deceptively Hard Blogging Tasks: Collis writes about the things that can be difficult in blogging. I do agree with many of the points he mentions in his post. Especially the “not giving up” point. Most blogs won’t be there 6 months from now.
How To Write Eye-Popping Headlines While Exhausted: If you’re like a lot of bloggers online publishers/writers you probably feel exhausted and tired sometimes. And it can be really hard to focus and write that new killer post, and even more difficult to come up with a killer headline. Well, no worries, Ben has great tips for all of us.
Essential Tools for Social Media: Social networking, social bookmarking, the web is now a 2-way street, compared to how things were a couple of years ago. Charlene wrote (again) an really good post highlighting the different social networking and bookmarking sites, and beyond that how important it is to define your online identity, and make good use of the plugin that are available today to help make things more social and connect people.
Please take some time to visit these blogs and read their posts. There is a lot of valuable and interesting stuff to learn that can definitely help you blog better. ;)
Take care!

Well, I hope my blog isn’t too egotistical by it being my full name…hehe
I also have earsucker, which is relatively easy to remember….hopefully :)
I haven’t gotten into social media as of yet, but that’s on my list of things to do as I take over the world…
Hi Roberta, earsucker.com sounds awesome! And no it doesn’t sound egotistical at all to have your name as your domain name, I have www.jonathan-phillips.com ;)
Thanks so much for including my post in this collection! I will definitely check out the other posts.
Have a great week.
Hi Char, you’re more than welcome, I really enjoyed reading your post, I’m sure my readers will like it too.
Thanks Jonathan, I just love to blog….either that, or I have a ton of stuff to say….each has its own place, that’s kind of why I’m not pimping out Earsucker for reviews in exchange for backlinks. Even though it has a PR of 4, it’s not the same genre of content as my personal domain. Music buffs don’t care about the behind the scenes stuff of blogging, they just want the music news. Know what I mean?
I think you’re right, same for my personal blog (www.jonathan-phillips.com) which is more about my personal stuff and music. although I should probably update it more often hehe
Comparing your 2 blogs, the ratio of SE traffic on earsucker is probably higher than on your other blog where your traffic probably comes more from other blogs and social media sites. Either is fine, it’s just a different crowd ;)
Nice list of blogs. I agree with the importance of domain names and how important they are. I recently was able to pick up my full name after years of it being owned by someone else. I offered $500 to buy it, then they just let it expire!
Zac, it’s proof that good things come to those who wait. ;)
I checked out your personal site, Jonathan…I didn’t know you played guitar…I used to have an Ibanez…hehe
I added you over at earsucker….just because I can :) lol
Hey Roberta Thanx a bunch! ;)
Now I have to go and try to find out how many jellbeans are in the jar hehe
Thanks for the link, Jonathan - I am flattered to be in such excellent company!
- Martin Reed
Martin, you’re very welcome, I would’ve featured more than only 1 post of yours though :)
Nice list, Jonathan.
I’m a subscriber to some of those blogs but will definitely head over to check the others out now.
Hi David, awesome, that’s what this post is for :)
Thanx
