Sponsored Review: Madison Who’s Who

Disclosure: As many of you may already know, sponsoredreviews.com is a “get paid to review blogs and websites” service. They launched not so long ago. I’ve wrote about “paid reviews” (pros and cons) before on smartwealthyrich.com and here are the 2 reasons i am reviewing Madison Who’s Who on here:
First, i get paid for reviewing it (which is not why i accepted to review it, more to test the system and get the feel of how it works). Second, i think my readers could benefit from knowing about it! I’m not doing this to make quick cash, since it takes some time to actually go and visit the site, contact the administrators of the site, read more, do some research, then write the review.
I believe in objective and unbiased reviews, and will give constructive criticism, what i liked about the site, and what i didn’t liked.
The Facts:
Madison Who’s Who is an executive and professionals registry, with thousands of members from virtually every industry. We all know how important it is to find qualified people to work with, and Madison Who’s Who seems to be the home of many. It is basically a paid networking site for business professionals.
What I liked:
You can search for people/professionals in the Madison Who’s Who database by either company name, industry, title or by name. They included a forum and a classified ads section available to paying members. Oh and by the way, they have a blog, where you can read news about Madison Who’s Who, featured members, effective Global Networking and random business news. And you know i much i value having a blog attached to any website, i think this is a good thing. The site is really well-constructed and is fast-loading, and is pretty easy to navigate using the top menu, and the sidebar menus in the blog section.
What bugged me:
I have never heard about Madison Who’s Who before accepting to review it, and i sent an e-mail to the adress listed in their “contact” section. I sent my e-mail on the 8th of April, and haven’t heard from them since, I double-checked to make sure i sent it to the right e-mail adress, i did… I also applied for their basic listing, and it says on their website that my basic listing membership would be set up 48 hours after i sign-up, but I can’t find it in the listing. Maybe you have to get a paid membership to have access to the basic listings, but it would be a good thing if that was explained when you register.
All and all, a pretty well-designed site, that can certainly help find business professionals, but the lack of answers from the support department makes it hard for me to want to register to a paid membership.

[…] before we forget to mention it, Madison Who’s has been written up and reviewed by SmartWealthyRich.com. Madison Who’s Who is pleased to offer articles related to or of interest to those many […]
Have you reviewed the comments about Madison Who’s Who on the Clark Howard website (consumer scam alerts)?? MWW is nothing more than a consumer rip-off because they make YOU pay upwards of $200 (some pay 5 times that much) to have your name included in a directory. If you don’t pay, your name does not go in the directory. What can we do to close down this rip-off company?
Hi David, humm, I haven’t heard about that, will have to look into it. Honestly the lack of customer support kinda makes me feel like I don’t need a membership on this site anyway so :)
I’ve actually been a member of this company for over two years now and have only positive things to say. Yes indeed i did have to pay to be a member however the amount of contacts i have made is well worth the money.
